The Tehrani World Caliphate is a state which existed for a short time in Demise. The state was founded upon the Iranian Islamic Republic, which spurred on the greatest war the world had ever seen. Over time this state kept on growing, supporting rebels in Xinjiang, and used the chaos around them to expand at a rapid pace, eventually coming to inhabit most of every continent on earth, bar Antarctica. They were defeated in 2033 by a worldwide coalition.
History:
2021: Due to the invasion of Azerbaijan by Russia and Armenia, Iran funded jihadist rebels to take over the remnants of the Azerbaijani State.
2022: The Iranian Islamic Republic blows up a plane filled with International aid headed to Georgia and Ukraine, kicking off the Arab Summer. They proceed to fund Islamic rebels in Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. A U.S.-led coalition invades Fars. A Pakistani-led alliance joins the war in opposition to the Iranians.
2023: Iran launches a coup d'état in Turkey, leading them to align themselves with Iran. Iran funds ISIL rebels in the Fezzan region of Libya after they collapse. A second coup in Turkey leads the Turks to cutoff all contact with the Iranians. Iranian-funded Hezbollah blows up a building on the Lebanese-Israeli border, which provokes Israel into joining the war. After two weeks, the Israelis leave the war, and the Syrians unite the rest of Mesopotamia into the Mashriq.
2024: Saudi Arabia joins the US-led coalition. Iran suffers a near collapsing blow, but turns it into an allied blunder by involving the Chinese and Indians in the war. Iran proclaims a jihad against the West and Sunnism.
2024-2025: Sometime in this range, Iran unites with the Afghans, proclaiming a Jihadist Caliphate.
2025: Iran gains the province of Xinjiang, and goes silent.
2025-2027: Iran gains lands in Mongolia and Sibiria. They fund Inuit rebels to slow down the Americans.
2028: Iran funds rebels in Denmark in order to set up the Jihadist rebels, which were formed from refugees, in Sweden. Iran uses the built up capital and manpower to unleash havoc on the Near East. Successfully attacks the Israelis on their border again, diverting the middle eastern powers to Israel.
2029: Iran reforms in the Tehrani Caliphate. Tehran signs a temporary Molotov-Ribbentrop-esque pact with Russia. Tehran annexes most of Khiva, and Sweden annexes minor regions of Ostrobothnia. Tehran sweeps through Libya and the coastlines of the Maghreb. Tehran betrays Russia, and Russia joins the West.
2030: Tehran through the diversion of Russian troops to defend Moscow, sweeps through Sibiria. Tehran allies with the Zapatistas.
2031: Tehran funds un-successful rebels in Brazil. Tehran has the most resistance it will face until the end of the war. Al-Suwid (Sweden) funds the Scots to rebel, and makes the UK collapse because of it. Tehran focuses the bulk of it's forces on the conquest and pressuring of Russia, and funds the Cossacks to rebel. The Zapatistas surrender to the Americans, and the Tehrani grip on America is limited to Aleutia. The Brazilian rebels come out from the underground and form a state in Atlántico.
2032: The Tehrani counter-attack is extremely succesful. Al-Suwid becomes the Sultanate of Askandafya. They proceed to invade the Arctic League. The Tehrani's due to sending a lot of troops to North America to help convince the Venezuelans to help them out, loses the Battle of Moscow. The World Calipahte is established, but due to over-extension and reaching it's extent, begins to crumble.
2033: Due to a major invasion, all of Tehran is wiped out, leaving a small state in Iran, which was nuked with a joint Russian-American version of the Tsar Bomba, nicknamed the Trump Bomba.
2034: Iran is occupied by N.A.T.O. Revivalists in Khorasan try to revive the empire, but fail. They are then released into British control in the peace treaty.
