The Mapping Tutorial Server (also known as MTS) is a Discord server founded by SDM Arcugos. The server's main goal is to help teach new mappers, and show them what mistakes to avoid when making maps/mapping videos. It seeks to achieve what TMC (The Mapping Community) initially intended to achieve.
Created on 15 June 2020. The server steadily grew to:
- 50 members on 5 July 2020
- 100 members on 2 August 2020
With an all time peak of 128 members.
MTS's activity halted as it's owner (SDM Arcugos) became inactive due to school. With the server getting archived on 4 October 2020 due to a merger with The Order of Mapping (TOM).
On 21 April 2021 with the nuking of TOM by it's owner Protonian. MTS got reopened, despite having lost 2/3 of it's members.
The server entered a very slow remaking phase that's still going on to this day.
