The War of XX00, as it was known inside of Gauche, was a war waged between the major powers of Europe in 2024 in Frkon's Gauche. It gave birth to the totalitarian state Gauche and dramatically reshaped the borders of Europe, as well as global politics.

Following their victory, the continental Western European powers united into Gauche, and it annexed London from the United Kingdom, Gotland, Scania, and Kalmar from Sweden, Tyrol from Austria, Piedmont and Sardinia from Italy, and Posen and Prussia from Poland.
Gauche reorganized its new territories in Eastern Europe into puppet states and redrew some of the borders.
Gauche permitted other nations that it had no interest in annexing to occupy territory. Ireland became a Gaucher ally after gaining control of the entire island of Ireland, Finland and Estonia took bordering territories of Russia, and Greece annexed lands from Bulgaria and Turkey, and the entirety of Cyprus.
Most of the nations who had fought on the side of the western powers immediately allied with Gauche, some out of fear[citation needed]. Portugal ceded Porto to Gauche in order to gain allied status, Norway and Sweden united into Norway-Sweden and became an ally, and Finland, Estonia and Greece all became Gaucher allies.
